Qualifications:
My quest to start my dog grooming career started with my own pets. I had two pugs and a miniature dachshund and loved to bath them and brush them, clip their nails clean their ears brush their teeth...I enjoyed this bonding one on one even though they didn't have much hair..it was the hands on relationship I enjoy with dogs ..and helping improve their since of being. At that time I was working in an office building with computers and telephones...yuck! I never felt satisfied in that line of work, but the experience was needed. As most everyone experiences drama in the "office" and I got tired of it and quit. I had already been planning to change my career to pet grooming and had ordered a building to work from. After I quit my job, I had to canceled my building order and took that opportunity to "train" and learn as much as I could learn. I researched a lot and looked for a job that I could learn from. I found Carolina Poodle Rescue- I happen to be there to adopt my standard poodle Phoebe. I had no idea that this would be the start of my love for grooming. They needed a groomer for the 100's of poodles they had among other breeds...wow..I could not believe I hit the jackpot. I loved going to work ever single day and I LOVED the dogs there. They were ALL great! There were dogs that came in very matted..and it was hard to work on these dogs as they were never socialized with humans and they only saw humans as a threat. I worked there for several months and it was time for me to move on...(I still miss working there though).I am very confident of my skills and now opened my own shop. Please call and come by to meet me and see where you're pups will spend the day..My promise to you... Every dog that comes to my shop will experience the tender loving care that I would want for my own dogs..
